Stock is just a nice name of gambling

The stock has cost a lot from many Chinese, may be the total loss would be similar to the earthquake. There will not be any rescue because the investors were not victim.

Why one wanted to invest in stock? It is quick profit, of course.

If you buy a stock at its face value, it is certain that the chance of earning is very high. If you do not know the difference between face value and market value, you are a sure prey for predator.
In Hong Kong, the only healthy stock market is the 60'. From 70's onward, the stock market has become a gambling ground. The famous Hang Send Index 1700 had lead many people especially housewives and elder people lost every dollar.

Before the catastrophe, almost all newspapers had reported the rising price of this or that stock making everyone crazy. Only one or two well-established newspapers had very small essays saying that it would be better to invest instead of speculation.

Similar cases happened elsewhere and in different period. This proves the saying, a fool and his money soon parted.

Of course, a very few will earn or suffer no loss. Of course, someone must earn all their loss.
Can any of them be saved? No, you cannot ask them to withdraw from this money hunting game.
There are many reasons including:

most know nothing about stock;
most have money and so greedy to get more;
they listen to good news only;
even someone advises them, they will not listen;
with the initial earning, they are proud and suppose to be the most diligent investor.

The money is not evaporated, just changed hand only if there is no foreign involvement.

Will any government be responsible for people who loss from gambling? The most one can do is to safeguard against fraud.

Of course, trying all means to educate people is important. But is any university working on this? No, they train those who can grasp money from stock market only.

I have many thing to say about stock, but let's see later.

大部份人沒有股票的真正認識;
大部份人有一些錢所以極之貪財;
大部份只會聽取好消息;
即使有人勸告,他們也不會理會;

Sure, it just give you a chance to have a legal gamble.
