Certainly, everyone will give great attendance to anything involving China and USA. This case has become the topic of gossip, blogs etc. from east to west. Of course, it will be only Zhang Lei himself knows the reason behind this decision. Every other is just guessing including mine.
I believe the difference of concept is the Yale education. Zhang Lei had been trained to think internationally instead. If the donation was for any university in China, the case is domestic and would not be taken seriously the world over.
No matter what, the gossip would be silent soon. I believe that his business would move to a higher level because this donation has put him to the world. Today, any big corporation must be international, especially for investment and financial. If he is the only one in China to know, then we must say China has a long way to become a big powerful nation.
任何涉及中国及美国的事都受到无数人士的注意。这件事也因此成为由东至西博客等的热门话题。当然，只有张磊本人才知道他这个决定的真正原因。所有其它包括我的话都是估计而已。
我相信这概念的差异就是耶鲁的教育导致。张磊受了这种教育而能够以国际性观念来思考。如果这捐款是给中国任何一间大学，一定没有得到世界上认真的看待。
无论如何，这些反应都很快变成过去。我相信他的业务会更上一层楼因为这次的捐款把他摆在世界舞台前。今日所有大机构特别是投资及财务都必须是国际性。如果中国只有他明白，那我们应该说中国要成为强国仍有相当长远的路。
