The Cruel Side of Success

Tonight, the Closing Ceremony of Beijing Olympic signified the success of China by all means.

I went into tears, but not for this reason.

I told my wife why. This is the sad side of life. Our greatest leaders, Chairman Mao and Premier Chou did not have the chance to share the joy with us.

Of course, some have said that great ones needed not to see the outcome because they were sure what would happen.

This can never be proved. It is just to comfort our sadness.

The best I can say is that great one or not, one has to do the best for the country. To have a great success is just faith only.

No matter we agree or not, China would not be so success today if not for their effort and loyal successors.

I just hope that most Chinese should keep in mind about this. Success can spoil one’s mind. Go back to history and refresh one’s mind about the failure of every dynasty that was once strong and rich.
